VP of Engineering
- Experience leading highly complex, technically challenging,
cross-functional software organizations in a senior leadership
capacity.
- Experienced technical architect with a penchant to design highly
scalable web systems.
- Experience as a Java developer with proficiency in Spring framework,
Spring Boot and Microservices
- Experience in one other language, either Ruby/Rails or Python is a
bonus.
- Authority in web technologies, cloud (AWS preferred) and serverless
computing.
- Must possess strong SQL skills and experience working with
relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL)
- Experience with Kafka & Elasticsearch and working knowledge of
JavaScript, Query, and Bootstrap is a bonus
- Knowledge of Security/Data Protection, Network Management, Systems
Management & Monitoring preferred.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills as
well as strong presentation skills necessary to communicate, and
persuade, a wide range of audiences.
- Proven ability to build an engineering culture, including defining
processes and systems, yielding consistent delivery of exceptional
products.
- A people-first leadership mentality, adept at balancing team
development and execution of technical charters.
- Strong track record of scaling high-performing teams by successfully
recruiting top talent.
- Demonstrates passion for developing employees and creating an
engaging engineering culture.
