Bad news for appliance makers, car companies, aerospace, farm/construction equipment, furniture makers, and other industries that use steel. Massive shortages of steel. Prices up 160% and supply at a 5-year low. Can’t produce their products so their customers are buying overseas instead.
How is this helping the US economy?
30,000 companies in Indiana, Tennessee, California and all over the US are begging Biden to end Trump’s disastrous steel tariffs.
Meanwhile, US steel companies are making a fortune. Highest-ever profits. Was Trump merely incompetent, or did he line his own pockets?
